You can support us with in-kind gifts of lightly used materials and equipment.

Power tools:
– Chordless saws (incl table saw, chop saw, reciprocating saw), impact drivers, drills, de-limbing chain saw, angle grinder etc.
Hand tools:
– Bolt cutter (heavy duty), hog ring pliers, hammer
General farm supplies:
– Large (96ft long) greenhouse frame (for bat/bird flight conditioning)
– Pea gravel substrate (4yards per 10x10ft duckling enclosure)
Enclosure building materials:
– Shade cloth, e.g. Coolaroo (for stress reduction all outdoor pens)
– White indoor paint (for wood, non-toxic)
– Plywood sheets (3/4in)
– Pressure treated 2×4 lumber in various lengths
e.g. from Home Hardware Summerland
– Hardware cloth fencing rolls
(1/2 in square meshing, 4ft wide)
– Stucco wire, aka: galvanized steel fencing rolls
(2×2 in, 4ft wide)
– Concrete pavers (2ft square, used or new)
– Wood shavings for bedding (available at pet food stores)
Barn/farm/gardening equipment:
– Large knotless fish nets (for capturing large birds), e.g. available at pool stores
– Galvanized steel stock tanks (8ft or 10ft rounds) for beaver kits,
e.g. from Buckerfield’s West Kelowna
– Reptile incubator (e.g. for turtle eggs)
– Insulated shed (ideally 10ftx10ft) for overwintering beaver kits and otter pups
e.g. from Home Depot
Hospital equipment (can be lightly used):
– Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Detector
– Large dog floor scale
House-hold items (can be lightly used):
– Front loader washing machine
– Room humidifier (for bats)
– Wall-mount electric Oil Heater (for our heated isolation room and nursery)
– Portable Air-conditioner
– Chest freezers (x2)
– Laundry umbrella (for outdoors)
– Baby playpen (for aquatic birds, used is perfectly fine)
Our storage needs:
– Shipping containers (10ft’er and standard 20ft’er)

We are funded by private donations, grants and sponsorships.
As as registered charity we can provide tax receipts for your donation upon request.
